Sarcopterygian Fishes - A step toward land
John Maisey, in his "Discovering Fossil Fishes" uses the classification "Sarcopterygian" to include the three modern groups of lobe-finned osteichthyans - the coelacanths, lungfishes, and tetrapods (amphibians). All have fleshy fins or limbs. (p122).
